I took this image at an elephant refuge in Thailand. The portrait is of a mahout, elephant trainer. Many of the mahouts are Burmese refugees and share a similar history of violence as the elephants they care for.
I shot this image at a Mosque in Taipei city. I went up to the top floor where women pray during the service and took this photograph of a girl reciting the prayers into her hands.
